BUSINESS CARD CHOICES
An introduction to choosing business cards

1. Offset or Digital

Saltprint provides the best of both worlds, offset and digital printed business cards.

Offset printed business cards are printed on a full colour printing press, with generally better quality and more finishing choices, however they do take a little longer than digital cards. See our offset Pricelist here.

For fast turnaround, our Express Digital business cards are printed on a full colour digital printer. These business cards are perfect for those last minute printing jobs. For more information on Express Digital cards click here.

2. DIY or Designer

You can choose to design your own business cards and supply us with your artwork file, or the artwork file designed by your designer. Read our DIY Artwork guidelines here, and check our Printing Conditions as well. It is 100% free to supply your own artwork.

3. Types of Business Cards

First choose whether you need a single or double-sided business card. Our single sided business card is called a BC1, and is a perfect simpe starter business card. We also do an Express Digital single sided digital card, called a DC1.

Double sided cards come with laminate (also known as celloglaze) on either one side or two sides. Laminated cards are stronger and feel slightly thicker and heavier. You can choose a Gloss or Matt Laminate. Gloss laminate is 'shiny', and matt laminate is 'silky'. Our GC1 offset business cards have gloss laminate on one side, and our GC2 business cards have gloss laminate on two sides. We also have MC1 and MC2 business cards which feature a matt laminate.

If you like to keep green, then our single sided RC1 and double-sided RC2 business cards are printed on revive recycled stock. These cards are unlaminated.

The final choice to be made is whether to have square or rounded corners on your business cards. This is a free option, and depends entirely on your style of design, or just personal preference. (Round corners are not available on Digital Express or Recycled Stock cards)
